Born and raised in Texas, Katherine has spent most of her life in England. Her background is in art history and she worked in the arts for many years.

Katherine is a graduate of the prestigious MA in Creative Writing (Crime Fiction) at the University of East Anglia. Her first novel, No Fouler Fiend, was written on the course and placed third in the Yeovil Literary Prize.

Her second book, Lufkin, Texas, was longlisted for the Crime Writers Association's Debut Dagger and was also a finalist for a Pageturner Award.

No Fouler Fiend, re-titled as A Most Unusual Demise, was published by Bloodhound Books in March 2023 and is the first in the Most Unusual Mysteries series.
